Terms of Use

Accepting these terms

By using The Long Table, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

What this app is — and isn't

The Long Table shows how different interpretive traditions read a passage. Each reading is generated by AI and is an explanation, not a verdict. It is not professional, theological, legal, medical, or mental-health advice, and no reader here is a human theologian. Check anything that matters against trusted sources.

If you're in crisis

This app is not a crisis or counseling service. If you're struggling or in danger, please contact a qualified professional or a crisis line in your area.

Accuracy

AI-generated readings can be incomplete, mistaken, or out of date. We work to represent each tradition fairly, but we make no guarantee that any reading is correct or complete.

Acceptable use

Use the app for personal, lawful purposes. Don't attempt to break, overload, scrape, or misuse it.

Subscriptions

Long Table Plus is an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple account. It renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings. Apple's standard terms (EULA) also apply.

Content & ownership

The app, its design, and its original text are ours. Public-domain Bible text is free to all. Linked third-party content belongs to its owners.

No warranties; limit of liability

The app is provided “as is,” without warranties. To the extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Changes & contact

We may update these terms and will note the date here. Questions: hello@thelongtable.app.
